Gerard Lillie

Gerard is the sole owner of PDX Automotive. Gerard has a degree in Fishery Biology from the University of Michigan and previously worked for the Institute for Fisheries Research for the state of Michigan and the “Fish Crew” of the Great Lakes Research Institute of the University of Michigan. He entered the field of automotive repair when his former partner was looking for a partner and Gerard and his wife decided a move to Oregon would be most welcome. They moved to Oregon in 1983 and Gerard entered the business at that time.

I have always believed in treating my customers the way I want to be treated.

Gerard is very interested in the outdoors and travel. He is a birder and has traveled throughout the U.S. and worldwide on birding trips. He has been on the Oregon Birds Records Committee since 1994. He has written many articles for Oregon Birds and North American Birds. He has lead Spring Birdsong Walks on Mt. Tabor in Portland for several years. He served on the board of Oregon Field Ornithologists for four years and represented Audubon Society of Portland on the board that developed the 20 year Master Plan for Mt. Tabor Park in Portland.

John Polley

PDX Automotive has always believed in integrity in our mechanics.

John began working at PDX in 1993. He originally was a technician working on vehicles. He moved into the office in 2000 and is our main Service Advisor. John has extensive technical knowledge and is an ASE certified Master Technician and also has the advanced L-1 level certification.  John and his wife love the outdoors and are busy year round in Oregon. The summer sees them water skiing and sky skiing and the winter finds them dirt biking in central Oregon. Their two mini-Dachshunds- Murphy and Molly- accompany them on all of their adventures.
